Minutes of the February 18, 2003 Cabinet Meeting were approved.
Student Dormitory Project
Financial Advisor
The Selection Committee has recommended the firm Public
Financial Management of Harrisburg, PA as Student Dormitory Project Financial
Advisor, Bid #2255.
Lincoln University Emergency Response Manual
Cabinet
members were asked to review for necessary revisions or updates, the draft Emergency
Response Manual developed by the Lincoln University Safety Committee. The manual
will be finalized as soon as possible and distributed to the campus.
Fiscal
Year 2001 Draft Cohort Default Rate
A US Department of Education report
dated January 12, 2003, shows that Lincoln University's cohort default rate for
FY'01 dropped to 9.9%. The report also showed a total of $898,649 dollars in default
and $7,929,342 in repayment.
Reduction of State Appropriation for FY'03
A total of $256,000 of Lincoln's FY'03 Commonwealth appropriation has been
placed into budgetary reserve. The University's last scheduled payment from the
State will be reduced by this amount if it is ultimately determined that the Commonwealth
must retain these funds.
Essential Personnel
All "essential personnel"
are to be designated in writing to the office of Human Resources and to the employee(s).
It was specifically stipulated that personnel in the IT department be designated
in this category.
Student Affairs & Enrollment Management
Students
who have not been cleared for the Spring '03 semester and are carrying balances
over $7,000 will be asked to make arrangements to gain financial clearance or
be administratively withdrawn. Graduate students owing balances over $5,000 will
also receive notice of the same.
