President's Cabinet Meeting

Cabinet Meeting were approved.
Students called to active duty
Lincoln
University will take necessary steps to ensure that students called to active
duty will not suffer loss of funds or educational opportunity.
Spring 2003
Enrollment Data
Enrollment numbers as of February 14, 2003 are 50 under
budget for the second semester.
Reduction of State Appropriation for FY'03
The recent $120 million state spending freeze represents a $128,000 cut in
Lincoln's state support for the current fiscal year.
State Higher Education
Equipment Grants
Because of the Commonwealth's revenue shortfall, a freeze
has been placed on $2 million of the funding originally earmarked for this program.
Of the remaining $4 million remaining in the budget for the grant, Lincoln University
will receive $17,120 to purchase educational equipment for the classroom.
Emergency
Snow Closing
The campus was closed on Monday, February 17, 2003 as the
Governor had declared a state of emergency. The Cabinet expressed special thanks
for the efforts of Physical Plant and Public Safety personnel who worked through
the weekend and Monday to provide access for our students to dormitories and other
essential facilities on the campus.
Development & External Relations
The
University has received a $1 million grant from the Oxford Foundation for needed
repairs to the Ware Center Theatre and roof. The first installment of up to half
of the grant amount is expected by June 30, 2003.
The Cabinet meeting was adjourned at 12:00 PM.
