Lincoln University will take necessary steps to ensure that students called to active duty will not suffer loss of funds or educational opportunity.
Enrollment numbers as of February 14, 2003 are 50 under budget for the second semester.
Reduction of State Appropriation for FY'03
The recent $120 million state spending freeze represents a $128,000 cut in Lincoln's state support for the current fiscal year.
State Higher Education
Because of the Commonwealth's revenue shortfall, a freeze has been placed on $2 million of the funding originally earmarked for this program. Of the remaining $4 million remaining in the budget for the grant, Lincoln University will receive $17,120 to purchase educational equipment for the classroom.
The campus was closed on Monday, February 17, 2003 as the Governor had declared a state of emergency. The Cabinet expressed special thanks for the efforts of Physical Plant and Public Safety personnel who worked through the weekend and Monday to provide access for our students to dormitories and other essential facilities on the campus.
