Attendees:  President Ivory V. Nelson, Vice President Howard E. Merlin, Vice President Grant D. Venerable, Vice President Michael B. Hill, Mr. Jerryl Briggs for Vice President William B. Bynum, and Ms. Diane M. Brown.


Draft Cabinet minutes of January 30, 2007 were approved.

Capital Funding

President Nelson provided the following summary of capital projects funded at Lincoln University for the respective periods.

State of Pennsylvania, Office of the Governor Funded, 2000-2010

Anticipated capital funding during this period:

                    Renovations                                               54,800,000

                    New Construction                                    131,600,000

Internally (Lincoln University) Funded, 2000-2007

Capital funding during this period:

NAFEO Appointment

President Ivory V. Nelson has been appointed to the Board of the National Association For Equal Opportunity in Higher Education (NAFEO). 

Fiscal Affairs

Cabinet reviewed analyses of the two medical insurance plans under consideration.  Vice President Merlin will attempt to gather additional feedback from employees before a final decision is made.

Vice President Merlin distributed a draft of the revised “Termination Policy & Procedure” for comment and suggested revisions.

Academic Affairs

Vice President Venerable reported that we are very near entering into an agreement on a Lincoln University/Morgan State University Dual Degree Program in Engineering.  An indication of support by all departments involved at Lincoln has been requested.

There being no further business, President Nelson adjourned the meeting at 10:30 a.m.
