MINUTES
Cabinet minutes of January 26, 2010 were approved.
PRESIDENT
Project “Advance to the Top” – President Nelson discussed and distributed
copies of his “Conceptual & Operational Paradigm for ADVANCEMENT TO THE
TOP.”
Langston Hughes Memorial Library – Provisions are underway to enable the
opening of the 2nd and 4th floors of the LHML to accommodate 100 occupants
per floor.
Student Academic Competition - The support of student preparation and participation
in intercollegiate academic competitions has been established as a priority
and provisions will be made in the operational budget for greater support
of these activities.
ACADEMIC AFFAIRS
Academic Program Assessment – The draft of “The April 1, 2010 Report to the
MSACHE – Academic Program Assessment at Lincoln University” was reviewed
and discussed. Vice President Venerable also discussed his implementation
and accountability strategy for meeting the goals of achieving a high-performance
in/out of classroom learning environment.
STUDENT AFFAIRS AND ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT
New Chaplain on staff - Reverend Frederick Faison has joined the Lincoln
University staff as the new Chaplain. Rev. Faison comes to Lincoln
from Shaw University in North Carolina.
The decision has been made to bid the University’s food service contract.
The bidding process will be conducted such that the successful bidder’s contract
will begin July 1, 2010.
