for portion of meeting: Mr. John Thompson, Director of Physical Plant
MINUTES
Cabinet approved the minutes of the January 17, 2006 Cabinet meeting.
CAPITAL PROJECTS
Mr. Thompson provided an update on the status of capital projects.
There have been no major changes in status since his last briefing to the
Cabinet.
Cabinet also discussed the list of ‘Summer Capital Projects” to be completed
during the upcoming summer break. The list includes repairs in administrative
and classroom buildings as well as identifying maintenance, structural, furniture
and painting needs in the residence halls.
ATHLETIC DIRECTOR FEATURED
“Building Team Discipline,” an article by Lincoln University track and field
and cross country coach Cyrus Jones appeared in the Fall 2005 issue of American
Track & Field. Coach Jones talks about his thoughts on team discipline
and its impact on winning championships. Congratulations to Coach and
our student athletes.
STUDENT AFFAIRS AND ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT

Vice President Bynum reported that the male residence halls have been filled,
however, vacancies exist in the female halls.
ACADEMIC AFFAIRS BRIEFING
The Middle States Self-Study Steering Committee has been put in place
and Task Force Co-Chairs and members have been identified. Official
letters of appointment will be sent to those assigned to the Steering Committee.
The University’s MSCHE liaison will come to the campus in early April for
a preparatory visit and interviews with select individuals and groups..
There being no further business, President Nelson adjourned the meeting at
11:00 a.m.
