Lincoln
University Pre-Law Certificate Program
Our Mission and Goals
The
mission of the Lincoln University Pre-Law Certificate program is to
offer students resources and supplemental courses
designed to facilitate the development of the skills necessary to be
successful in law school including analytical, problem solving,
critical listening, reading, oral communication, and research skills.
The program goals are to:
- Provide Pre-law related information to students and the campus community
- Facilitate
the development of necessary academic skills that will help students
become successful during the law school admissions process and beyond.
- Provide
and facilitate opportunities for students to engage in programs that
will enhance their abilities and chances to succeed in law school.
The Pre-Law Program
In
keeping with the recommendations of the American Bar Association (ABA)
Lincoln University does not offer an undergraduate Pre-Law major.
Rather students can choose any major to prepare for a legal education.
Students are admitted to law school from almost every academic
discipline.
Our Pre-Law Certificate program has
been planned to offer students an additional set of supplemental
courses designed to facilitate the development of the skills necessary
to be successful in law school including analytical and problem
solving, critical listening and reading, oral communication, and
