We hope you have noticed all the positive changes that are happening on campus. In order to complete the restoration we will need to close roads for paving. Due to weather and other conditions we were unable to complete the paving as previously scheduled. There will be road closures for the following areas for patching/paving:
PATCHING
May 26 - 28: The road in front of the Student Union Building for patching (from the end of the employee parking lot behind Azikiwe-Nkrumah Hall to the Frederick Douglas statue).
June 1 – 3: Wright Hall parking lot and in front of the Library for
patching
PAVING
June 7 – 11: The road from Library to statue including Wright Hall parking lot will be totally resurfaced. Also, if time and weather permits, the road in front on the Student Union Building will be closed again for
total resurfacing.
The back road from Dickey Hall to Hansberry Hall continues to be closed to traffic. The projected opening is the end of May.
Please use extreme caution when walking in wet weather.

v The crane empty weighs 175,000 lbs.
v They will be adding 210,000 lbs. of counter weights for the lift.
v The tank and roof weighs 46,000 lbs.
It will take 8 hours to put together before the lift.
