PHYSICAL PLANT UPDATE

April 2, 2004 – April 9, 2004

UPDATES/ROAD/PARKING CLOSURES – the following buildings/parking areas will be affected during the coming week:

v    As the DGS work winds down, site restoration will be picking up.  The contractor will be leveling off the mounds of dirt all over campus, putting down topsoil and seeding.  Please do not drive, park or walk on restored areas. 

v    The back road from Dickey Hall to Hansberry Hall continues to be closed to traffic.  The projected opening is the end of May.

NOTE:  The road continues to be closed to pedestrian traffic also for the week of April 3^rd through April 9, 2004. 

v    Please use extreme caution while walking in the wet weather.  We will try to control slippery spots as best we can.

INFORMATION UPDATE

The following are a few areas where work is still being done:

  A new MAC machine has been installed in Azikiwe-Nkrumah Hall.

 Apex Piping will continue installing pipe supports and steam pipe in the utility          tunnel.  It should be completed in the next week.

  The location for the new Sewage Treatment Plant has been determined and work should begin shortly.

  Work is continuing on the utility tunnel.
