UPDATES FOR THE WEEK OF OCTOBER 25, 2003
UPDATES/ROAD/PARKING CLOSURE - the following buildings/parking areas will be affected during the coming week:
-
Road Closure - The road will be closed between the middle gate on Baltimore Pike and Building # 91 (Student Union Building) on Tuesday and Wednesday, October 28th and October 29th.

The fire alarm system will be tested at Wright Hall on Friday, October 31st and Grimm Hall on Friday, November 11, 2003.

As of Friday, October 24, 2003, all buildings on campus are hooked up to a heat source. If problems develop in individual buildings they will be addressed promptly.

150 new manholes (electrical & mechanical)

37,000 cubic yards of soil excavation

Removed 251 old campus light fixtures

Installed 348 new fixtures (97 additional light fixtures)

2800 cubic yards of concrete

13 miles of new service piping

820 tons of manholes

178 miles of new wiring: telephone, TV, fiberoptic, power and safety

New 1050 horsepower boiler
-
Convert our 400 & 600 H.P. boilers to dual fuel (gas & oil)
Walt Konopka, Heery International is the Construction Manager for
these projects and Gerry Davis is the Project Administrator for Lincoln
University. All questions, problems etc. will be addressed through them
to the appropriate contractor. You may contact them through the Office
of the Physical Plant at extension 3111. Your cooperation and understanding
