UPDATES FOR THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 29, 2003
UPDATES/ROAD/PARKING CLOSURE - the following buildings/parking areas will be affected during the coming week:

The road between Wright Hall #89 and Lucy Laney #101 will be closed until further notice.

The entrance gate by the Chapel parking lot will be closed on Tuesday, September 30th. The Chapel parking lot can still be used for parking. Please be aware of the construction personnel and equipment.

The contractor will continue to run wire for the fire alarm system in Ashmun and McCauley Halls.

Shutdown of electric for a 4-hour period (12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.) on Friday, October 3rd. Buildings that will be affected are:

Manuel Rivero Hall

Frederick Douglass Hall
-
McRary Hall
-
Student Union Building
Steam Project Facts:
-
Removed 4160 feet of old steam piping
-
Installed over 18000 feet of new steam piping
-
11 new steam manholes
-
Excavated over 8000 cubic yards of soil
Walt Konopka, Heery International is the Construction Manager for
these projects and Gerry Davis is the Project Administrator for Lincoln
University. All questions, problems etc. will be addressed through them
to the appropriate contractor. You may contact them through the Office
of the Physical Plant at extension 3111. Your cooperation and understanding
are appreciated! Remember - these are your tax dollars at work.
