UPDATES FOR THE WEEK OF JULY 28, 2003

Reminder: If you see safety fencing or emergency roping, please stay out of the area. Please go around to reach your goal. These barriers have been erected for your protection and this is very important.

We apologize for the unannounced closing of Maple Avenue. We have requested road closures to be sent to us for release at least a week in advance. This surprised us too! Thank you for your flexibility and understanding.

This week the road between Cresson and Lincoln will be continue to be closed. Please use the Middle Gate for exit if needed.

For the week of August 4th, Baltimore Pike will have intermittent lane closings to cross electrical lines. There will be flaggers to direct traffic. This will not directly affect campus traffic but might cause delays at the gate by the Arch.

HIGHLIGHT!! New site lights are arriving daily and cable is being pulled to "light up" the campus. Watch for a new brighter Lincoln within the next few weeks.

SAFETY REMINDERS

  • DO NOT GO AROUND ORANGE FENCES INTO THE CONSTRUCTION AREA.
  • DO NOT ACCESS A CONSTRUCTION AREA WITHOUT A HARDHAT.
  • PLEASE DRIVE SLOWLY AROUND THE CONSTRUCTION AREAS TO PROTECT YOURSELF AND THE WORKERS.

Walt Konopka, Heery International is the Construction Manager for these projects and Gerry Davis is the Project Administrator for Lincoln University. All questions, problems etc. will be addressed through them to the appropriate contractor. You may contact them through the Office of the Physical Plant at extension 3111. Your cooperation and understanding are appreciated! Remember - these are your tax dollars at work.
