UPDATES FOR THE WEEK OF JULY 21, 2003

Reminder: This week is the second week that the digging will concentrate around University Hall, the Education Building, and the Math Building (Buildings 1, 9, and 39). It is strongly recommended that only personnel assigned to those buildings and housekeeping personnel access the buildings while the fencing is up. Caution is urged in the area. Fencing will be in place to rope off the perimeter of the area.

This week the road in front of Dickey Hall will have intermittent short closings. The parking lot will still be open for access however. Closings should last for approximately an hour.

Tuesday, July 22 and Wednesday July 23, the road between Cresson and Lincoln will be closed. Please use the Middle Gate for exit if needed.

There will be a temporary sidewalk by Manuel Rivero Gym for July 22, 23, & 24.

HIGHLIGHT!! New site lights are arriving daily and cable is being pulled to "light up" the campus. Watch for a new brighter Lincoln within the next few weeks.

SAFETY REMINDERS

  • DO NOT GO AROUND ORANGE FENCES INTO THE CONSTRUCTION AREA.
  • DO NOT ACCESS A CONSTRUCTION AREA WITHOUT A HARDHAT.
  • PLEASE DRIVE SLOWLY AROUND THE CONSTRUCTION AREAS TO PROTECT YOURSELF AND THE WORKERS.

Walt Konopka, Heery International is the Construction Manager for these projects and Gerry Davis is the Project Administrator for Lincoln University.
