Strategic Principle, Objective and Anticipated Outcomes

It is expected that the ORDPC initiative will be institutionalized as a viable, research component within the academic structure and operation of the university. To achieve this overall goal, specific strategic principles, program objectives, and anticipated outcomes are presented below.

Strategic Principle:
ORDPC will be a key component in the development of a research infrastructure within the university.

Objective:
Implement methods to ensure that program activities are developed and offered on a timely basis.

Outcomes:

  1. Development of systematic procedures for dissemination of information regarding grants, research workshops and membership on external, research committees, etc.
  2. Implementation of the initial research projects already funded by NIH.
  3. Improvement in coordination and communication between ORDPC, academic departments, and other research components in the University.
  4. Establishment of viable collaborative arrangements with research universities, organizations, and agencies in the local area, state, region, nation, and international community.
  5. Implementation of the first set of literature reviews.
  6. Establishment of new, discipline-oriented research areas that reflect evolving trends.
