Materials Located in the Office
Important materials are housed in the Resource Room (Grim Hall,
Room 132) to disseminate information, facilitate application activities,
and assist ongoing research activities. These materials are described
below:
- Annual reports of research foundations and funding
agencies, e.g., Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Kellogg Foundation,
Kaiser Family Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, Social Sciences
Research Council.
- Submission dates and application forms for solicited
applications from governmental and private agencies, e.g., Federal
Forms 398 and 424.
- Advice regarding unsolicited applications and/or
concept papers.
- Information concerning the distinction between
Grants and Contracts, and differences among different types of
contracts.
- Grant resource materials, e.g., HRSA Preview
and Federal Register.
- In addition to the materials cited above, an
ICA (Institutional Capability Assessment) of the University and
faculty will be developed that can be used as a boilerplate for
most grant submissions.
- A Faculty Research Profile is being developed
to facilitate faculty membership on external review committees
and advisory committees of private foundations and governmental
agencies.
