A Message from the Director

We are proud to offer our mass communications majors a diverse array of courses and learning opportunities designed to prepare them for careers in mass media - broadcast, print, multimedia, public relations/advertising and media advocacy - and enrolling at some of the top graduate schools in the country.

Here at Lincoln, we believe our students need to have the blend of theory and practice in order to be the best in their chosen fields. We are proud to have faculty - both full-time and adjunct - committed to the vision of developing well-rounded students. Our pedagogical approaches may differ, but our goal is the same: to produce the best mass communications graduates in the region and among the best in the country.

Our students are up for this challenge, and as of last fall, only freshman and sophomores with GPA's of 3.0 or higher are admitted to our program. Our upperclassmen have landed internships in a variety of fields while our recent alumni are representing the LU spirit at schools such as Syracuse.

Our Center is looking to recruit the brightest minds eager to learn vital theories and hands-on skills within the culture of the country's first HBCU. We are also teaming up with media firms and graduate programs around the country to ensure that the pipeline is constantly flowing with Lincoln grads.
