Nelson speaks at St. Paul's Baptist Church in Philadelphia
on Sunday, November 18, 2001 on the topic of Educating
Minority Students for the New Millennium.
In his message, President Nelson,
who has achieved a national reputation for his leadership
in higher education, urged support for the nation's Historically
Black Colleges and Universities. He also asked for the
development of strong "school, church, community partnerships"
to help ensure that minority youth achieve an effective
education and seek college degrees.
