Lincoln University Hosts Its First Football Game in 48 Years

LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA ~The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania football team will play its first game in 48 years when the Lions host George Mason University on Saturday August 30, 2008 beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Avon Grove High School in West Grove.
 
The football game begins a huge weekend of home events for the Lincoln University Athletics department. The following day (Sunday August 31), the volleyball team hosts Virginia State University beginning at 11:00 a.m. and the women’s soccer team hosts Bloomfield College at 4:00 p.m.

--Make a right onto Old Baltimore Pike
--Keep straight for 6 miles and make a right at the traffic light onto Prospect Avenue /Rt. 841 (Citizen’s Bank on the corner)
--Go up long grade to 4-way stop at top of hill.
--At 4-way stop, turn left onto State Road.
--School and football complex is on the right about ½ mile down State Road.
 
From Route 1 North or South
 
--Take Route 841 South exit for West Grove and take turn towards West Grove.
--At stop sign turn right onto West Evergreen Street; go about ¼ mile.
--At first traffic light, turn left onto Prospect Avenue/Rt. 841(Citizen’s Bank on the corner).
--Go up long grade to 4-way stop at top of hill.
--At 4-way stop, turn left onto State Road.
--School and football complex is on the right about ½ mile down State Road.
 
From Philadelphia
 
--Take Interstate 95 South to Route 322 West exit (Towards West Chester).
--Continue on Route 322 West for five miles until you get to Route 1 South.
--Make a left on Route 1 South.
--Take Route 841 South exit for West Grove and take turn towards West Grove.
--At stop sign turn right onto West Evergreen Street; go about ¼ mile.
--At first traffic light, turn left onto Prospect Avenue/ Rt. 841 (Citizen’s Bank on the corner).
--Go up long grade to 4-way stop at top of hill.
--At 4-way stop, turn left onto State Road.
--School and football complex is on the right about ½ mile down State Road.
 
From New York, New Jersey and points north
 
--Take the New Jersey Turnpike to Exit 2 (Chester, Pa. & Route 322).
--After you pay the toll, make a left onto Route 322 West.
--Continue on Route 322 across the Commodore Barry Bridge and into Pennsylvania.
--Once in Pennsylvania, stay on Route 322 West for five miles until you get to Route 1 South.
--Take Route 841 South exit for West Grove and take turn towards West Grove.
--At stop sign turn right onto West Evergreen Street; go about ¼ mile.
--At first traffic light, turn left onto Prospect Avenue/ Rt. 841 (Citizen’s Bank on the corner).
--Go up long grade to 4-way stop at top of hill.
--At 4-way stop, turn left onto State Road.
--School and football complex is on the right about ½ mile down State Road.
 
From Lancaster, Harrisburg, Pittsburgh & points west
 
--Take Pennsylvania Turnpike to Exit 247 (Harrisburg West) to Route 283 East
--Take Route 283 East to Route 30 East through Lancaster
Continue on Route 30 East until you get to Route 41 South
--Make a right on Route 41 South until you get to Route 1 South
--Make a right on Route 1 South and get off at the next exit Route 841 (West Grove)
--At stop sign turn right onto West Evergreen Street; go about ¼ mile.
--At first traffic light, turn left onto Prospect Avenue/ Rt. 841 (Citizen’s Bank on the corner).
--Go up long grade to 4-way stop at top of hill.
--At 4-way stop, turn left onto State Road.
--School and football complex is on the right about ½ mile down State Road.
 
From Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia, North Carolina & Points South
 
--Take Interstate 95 North to Exit 100 in Maryland (Rising Sun & North East).
--After exiting Interstate 95 North, turn left on Route 272 towards Rising Sun.
--Continue on Route 272 North until you come to Route 1 North.
--Merge onto Route 1 North.
--Take Route 841 South exit for West Grove and take turn towards West Grove.
--At stop sign turn right onto West Evergreen Street; go about ¼ mile.
--At first traffic light, turn left onto Prospect Avenue/ Rt. 841 (Citizen’s Bank on the corner).
--Go through town, up long grade to 4-way stop at top of hill.
--At 4-way stop, turn left onto State Road.
--School and football complex is on the right about ½ mile down State Road.
