Lincoln University to Showcase Campus to Prospective Students
and Their Parents During Annual Spring Open House, March
22
Lincoln University will showcase its campus to prospective
students and their parents during the University's Annual
Spring Open House on Friday, March 22, from 10 a.m. to
2:30 p.m.
Prospective undergraduate students and their parents
are invited to tour the campus, learn about Lincoln's
academic and financial aid programs and meet the faculty
and students. Space is limited. To reserve a place contact
the Office of Admissions at 1-800-790-0191.
According to 1999-2000 data compiled by the U.S. Department
of Education, Lincoln ranks:

second in the nation in graduating African
Americans with baccalaureate degrees in the physical
sciences (biology, chemistry, and physics)
-
12th in the nation among colleges and
universities in graduating all minorities with baccalaureate
degrees in the physical sciences
-
in the top 2 percent in the nation in
graduating African Americans with baccalaureate degrees
in computer and information sciences
-
in the top 2 percent in the nation in
graduating African Americans with baccalaureate degrees
in biological and life sciences
-
in the top 3 percent in the nation in
graduating African Americans in all academic disciplines.
In addition, Lincoln is ranked first in the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania in graduating African Americans with baccalaureate
degrees in the physical sciences. Lincoln also is the
only university in the state and one of but 20 universities
nationwide where 40 percent or more of its physics graduates
are women.
Founded in 1854, Lincoln University is a premier, Historically
Black University that combines the best elements of a
liberal arts and sciences-based undergraduate core curriculum
and selected graduate programs to meet the needs of students
living in a highly technological and global society. The
University currently enrolls 1,871 undergraduate and graduate
students.
