University City Mission
Under the leadership of the Graduate Dean and the Graduate Council, the
mission of the Graduate Studies Program is to offer "selected graduate
programs to meet the needs of those living in a highly technological
and global society." To accomplish this mission, four master's degree
programs are offered: the Master of Human Services, the Master of
Education, the Master of Science in Administration, and the Master of
Science in Reading. These programs are offered in Philadelphia at
The Lincoln University's University City campus.
Graduate degree programs are designed to meet the needs of
professionals employed in the field of education, especially those who
teach in the local school districts, and of those working in the fields
of human services and of business. All programs are, therefore,
student-centered and focused on enhancing the education of traditional
and non-traditional adult learners. At the graduate level, these
programs further the mission of The Lincoln University, the oldest
Historically Black College/University.
Vision
The
School of Humanities and Graduate Studies offers selected graduate
programs that place emphasis on serving professionals and
pre-professionals desiring an advanced degree at the master's level in
four areas--education, reading, business administration and human
service--fostering an appreciation for research and analysis, as well
as technology.
