Ladies Of Distinction

What is L.O.D. ?

The Lincoln University Ladies of Distinction has been formed to assist and serve as an extra vehicle for young women seeking social, academic, and financial advancement through the pursuit of higher education. At Lincoln, there is a growing need to serve our female population at an increasing rate. The Ladies of Distinction would like to provide activities to foster these needs throughout the upcoming year as well as future years. The Ladies of Distinction of Lincoln University was started in the spring of 2002. The purpose of L.O.D. is to help in promoting sisterhood and unity within the campus of Lincoln University. To diminish and help solve many problems within the female population on campus such as pornography, fighting, disrespect, low self esteem, attempted suicide, and low academic standing is the goal of Ladies of Distinction. L.O.D. is not attempting to be a social fellowship or sorority, and we strive to be different from any other organization on campus. As Ladies of Distinction we are motivated and dedicated to making our campus a better place and producing leaders to shape the new millenium.

Our Mission

We are the Ladies of Distinction of Lincoln University. We come together for the purpose of networking and the sharing of thoughts and ideas in order to improve our family, our community and ourselves. Our mission is to bring together an array of positive women to gain empowerment, skills, and insight on how to enrich our lives. We hope to create the opportunity for women to meet, support each other, learn about each other, share in fellowship, investing, charity events, seminars, and networking with others of the same interests. Our mission is to improve the relationship between women and to promote awareness, understanding, love and acceptance of who we are and who we are striving to become. Not only do we concentrate on perfecting ourselves, but also the community around us. Our mission is to give back to the community in recognition of our blessings.
