The Head lion
THURSDAY 2:00PM
WWLU and Lincoln athletics have paired up to bring you The Head Lion, a coaches' show that's all about Lion sports.
On The Head Lion, the show's host, Taji McCullough, conducts one-on-one interviews with LU's head coaches so fans can find out everything they want to know about their favorite teams.
According to McCullough, "listeners of The Head Lion will be genuine fans of Lincoln University athletics". And those who are curious about coaches' "game decisions get a chance to get an in-depth understanding of what (they) may have thought to be right or wrong decisions". Fans are even encouraged to call in with questions they may have about recent games, injuries, player performances and more.
The Head Lion also features interviews with coaches from opposing schools in order to broaden the range of perspectives and information offered to the audience.
"The inspiration for my show comes from my love for sports and respect for Lincoln University's rich history. I am driven by the idea that one day Lincoln and other HBCUs will be regarded as some of the most dignified, sophisticated, and intellectual institutions in the world," said McCullough.
Listen to The Head Lion every Thursday at 2:00 PM, on WWLU 88.7 FM and cable channel 78.
