Instructions for Off Campus Database Access
The following are step-by-step instructions
for access to Library databases by
Lincoln University faculty, staff and students.

service is for current faculty, staff and students only.

Read the descriptions of each database on the Accessing Databases from Home page. Click on the database that will
most serve your needs. . This is not the complete list of databases available on-campus. . .
After clicking on the Library database of
your choice you will see a log-in request screen. It looks like this.
The only box Lincoln University users need to use is the one on the left.
Enter your log-in number in the box and click "log-in." Just numbers are to be entered into the Log-in box, no spaces, no dashes.
What is my Log-in number?
Current students: Current students will use their University ID number
[not your Social Security Number] issued with new Lion Cards in September 2007. This number is barcoded to the back of
your Lion Card. Unlike barcodes in stores, this barcode does not have the number under the barcode. This is because your ID number is PRIVATE information.
If you do not know
your barcode number please call Hughes Library at 484.365.7367 during regular Library hours.
Current faculty and staff: Library records for faculty and staff are manually entered into the Library's computer system. If you have:
1) a Library
Record issued before September 2007 you have a 14 digit barcode attached to your ID that starts 2 0464 0. That number, all 14 digits, is your Log-in
number.
2) a new ID card or have never visited the Library and had a Library Record made, you will need to visit the Library to have a record created.

with your barcode number, please call Hughes Library at 484.365.7367 during regular Library hours.
