Jenzabar's Campus Connect product provides access over the World Wide Web to Lincoln University's POISE student information system.
No special software is needed, a standard web browser can be used to view basic
name and address information, billing status, financial aid information, course schedules, and grades. Faculty and staff may
drop and add courses over the web and view transcripts. Faculty may enter course grades directly
into the system.
Security of information is a primary concern. The web-based interface to POISE is
only allowed through secured web connections, protecting information from being snooped
along the way from browser to server in exactly the same way as on-line purchases
are secured at sites like Amazon.com.
Student access is secured through the use of Personal Identification Numbers (PINs)
in addition to an ID number. Faculty access is secured by the userID and password
combination faculty have always had through the terminal interface to POISE.
