Learning Objects
What are they, how do I use them, how do I create them, where can I find them?

Learning objects are the core concept in an approach to learning content in which content is broken down into "bite size" chunks. These chunks can be reused, independently created and maintained, and pulled apart and stuck together like so many legos. - EduWorks Corp.

Learning Object Repositories

Learning object repositories exist to assist educators and students with the learning process. They are created and managed by educators and institutions that support learning. Repository sites provide finding tools such as advanced search engines and browse-by-subject links. Repositories may serve as the main developer and clearinghouse for learning objects, while others, such as MERLOT and the UNC TLT PDP (Univ. of North Carolina Professional Development Portal) review and link to the learning objects they recommend.
