Levi A. Nwachuku is professor of History in the Department of History, Political Science and Philosophy. He also serves as Coordinator of the African-American Experience at Lincoln University, PA. He served as chair of the Department of History and Political Science for twelve years.

Dr. Nwachuku, a Nigerian native but now a United States citizen received his undergraduate and graduate education from the United States. He earned the BA degree from Lincoln University, MA from Howard University and Ph.D. from Michigan State University. He has taught undergraduate and graduate students in Nigeria and the United States respectively and has given lectures to the Nigerian military on occasions. Although his area of specialty is in African history, his research interest is in political history regarding Africa and race relations in the United States. His articles have appeared in Current History, African Report, Journal of Black Studies, Black World, and Nigerian Bulletin of Foreign Affairs. He has numerous encyclopedia entries. He is the lead editor of Exploring the African-American Experience (Pearson 2011), Troubled Journey: Nigeria Since the Civil War (University Press of America, 2004). He is the co-editor of the Lincoln Journal of Social and Political Thought. His most recent book coauthored with Dr. Martin Kilson is Pride of Lions: A History of Lincoln University 1945-2007 (Lincoln University Press 2011).
