2004. LU Baseball Players Receive National Recognition. Joshua DeBeary and Matthew
Sample Chosen as "Players to Watch" by Collegiate Baseball.
The
Lincoln University Lions Baseball Team, an intercollegiate varsity baseball team
at Lincoln University (PA), has two players, Joshua DeBeary (Philadelphia) and
Matthew Sample (Lincoln University) that were chosen by Collegiate Baseball as
"Players to Watch" for the upcoming 2004 baseball season.
In
the January 2, 2004 edition of Collegiate Baseball, a premier national baseball
publication, DeBeary and Sample were selected among other elite players throughout
the country in NCAA Division III baseball. DeBeary was listed with 22 other shortstops
and Sample was listed with 12 other multi-positional players out of hundreds of
NCAA Division III institutions.
