CONTRIBUTORS Martin Kilson received his Ph.D. from Harvard University and he is Frank G. Thomson Professor of Government at Harvard University. Author of several articles in scholarly journals, Professor Kilson’s books include, among others, Political Change in a West African State (1966) and Crisis and Change in the Negro Ghetto (1973). He is also co-editor of Key Issues in the Afro-American Experience, Vol. I and II (1971). He is currently completing a manuscript on The Making of Black Intellectuals: Studies on the African-American Intelligentsia. Robert E. Millette received his Ph.D. from the New School for Social Research and he is currently Professor of Sociology and Director of the Global Studies Institute at Lincoln University. He has published several articles in scholarly journals. He co-authored with Mahn Gosine, The Granada Revolution; Why it Failed, (1985). A former ambassador of Granada to the United Nations, Professor Millette is completing a manuscript on Governance in Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Levi A. Nwachuku received his Ph.D. from Michigan State University and he is currently Professor and Chair of the History Department as well as coordinator of the African-American Experience at Lincoln University. His articles have appeared in Black World, Current History, and Journal of Black Studies. He co-edited, with Niara Sudarkasa, Exploring the African-American Experience, (1996). He also co-edited with Godfrey N. Uzoigwe, Troubled Journey: Nigeria Since the Civil War, (2002). Zizwe Poe received his Ph.D. from Temple University and he is currently an Assistant Professor of History at Lincoln University. He has published in the Journal of Black Studies and is the founder of the Kwame Nkrumah Information and Resource website. Godfrey N. Uzoigwe received his Ph.D. from Oxford University and he is currently Professor and Chair of the History Department, Mississippi State University. A Fellow of the Nigerian Historical Society, Professor Uzoigwe has published over 50 scholarly articles. His books include, among others, Britain and the Conquest of Africa: The Age of Salisburg (1974), Uganda: The Dilemma of Nationhood (1983), Anatomy of an African Kingdom: A History of Bunyoro-Kitara (1973). He also co-edited with Levi A. Nwachuku, Troubled Journey: Nigeria Since the Civil War (2002). |
