| Ms. Linda Racine, RNC |
All students enrolled at
the University are eligible for medical care as well as other
services; your fee entitles you to care at Health Services. There
is no charge for over
the counter medications, but there is a $5-$10 charge for prescription
medications. The student must provide insulin, inhalerts, allergy
serum and Depo-Provera. If a student is referred out to the hospital
or laboratory, those bills will be the student’s responsibility.
All students must show proof of medical insurance; otherwise, you
are required to obtain the University insurance policy. In addition
to direct medical care, the nurses are resources to the campus as
guest lecturers, consultants for public health issues and as collaborators
on health related topics. Health Services is open Monday through
Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The physician is available three
(3) times a week for scheduled appointments. Students must have
a complete sports physical examination to participate in cheerleading,
dance, flag, band and all sports each individual year, prior to
actually participating in practice or games. A copy of all sports
physicals from all participants must also be on file at the Health
Services Office and Athletics Department.
