Office of Financial Aid
How to Apply for Financial Aid
The application period for 2008-09 Endowed Scholarships is now open.
ELIGIBILITY:
To be considered for the undergraduate scholarship programs,
you must be classified as a sophomore, junior or senior
(have successfully completed a total of at least 30 credit
hours by the end of the Spring semester). These scholarships
are not available for the summer term.
Some
awards are based primarily on academic excellence, while
others are based on a combination of academic excellence,
demonstrated financial need, achievements, classification,
leadership abilities, and/or moral fortitude. Since a number
of these awards are based on demonstrated financial need,
you must apply for financial aid by completing the Free
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
International students cannot complete the FAFSA; therefore
they are not eligible for scholarships listed as
"need-based".
MAXIMUM
SCHOLARSHIPS: The maximum amount of scholarships
you can apply for is $5,000 (unless otherwise noted by scholarship
criteria).
APPLICATION
DEADLINE: For priority consideration, applications
must be received by the Scholarship Committee on
May 16, 2008. Incomplete applications
will not be considered.
