Family History
I am the proud son of my divorced
parents Ronald Davis of Philadelphia & Mary Lewis-Davis of Lincoln
University. I live with my mother
& my grandparents in Lincoln University and I have 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Only one of my sisters live with me. Her name is Jada Pearsall.
My other sister’s name is Crystal Davis who is currently located in
Philadelphia. My oldest brother
Ronald Mapp is currently located in Miami, Florida teaching high school
students. Ronald Davis Jr., my
other brother is currently located in Philadelphia, and is currently in the
Marines. My family has a lot of expectations for me.
The biggest one is that I go to a four-year college and succeed in life
and graduate at the top of my class. Another
expectation is that I play in a D1 college for the schools basketball team.
I really don’t have any legendary figures in my family except my
Grandfather and my Grandmother. They
are what holds my family together and keeps the family strong.
Present Situation
The
beautiful Torrin Davis
When I had my first Christmas I remember that I practically got
everything that I wanted when I was a child.
I got a toy Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Oscar, Elmo and a little toy piano.
It wasn’t the last good Christmas, when I was six I got a Power Ranger mask
and sword! I went around the house hitting people with it like I was a Power
Ranger. I also got my first four-wheeler and to me then it was the greatest
thing that I have gotten ever. Then
when I turned nine years old, I got my Play-station and I thought it was the
greatest thing in the world. All of those years I got what ever I wanted, and all
the love I could ever need and more. Jermaine Palmer, Greg Jackson, Kris Boddy,
Damon Bogan, Ryan Bogan have all helped me improve my basketball skills to new
levels almost every time I am with them. Not
only on the court but also in life and school.
I have successfully continued my education up till 8th grade.
This year I will be going into 9th and I will try my best and
continue my success. I came to know about this program from a close family friend
Chimereze Nwachuku. What inspired
me to apply was that it had to do with engineering and I want to be an
automotive designer so I applied to see what it was like and a lot of people
said I would have a lot of fun in this program.
My expectations for this program are that it will help me decide on what
I want to do in life.
SWOT
Strength-
some of my strengths in my life are… my abilities to learn how to do things in
a short amount of time, my athletic ability to be able to compete in competitive
sports such as football, basketball, and track. Another strength is to make
friends quickly.
Weakness-
the weaknesses in my life are that I have a temper control problem, I have a
little trouble in my math class because I have trouble remembering equations.
Opportunities-
the opportunities that I have had in life are getting accepted into the STI
program, making the basketball team so I can get scouted into a good college.
Another opportunity is that I was born into this world and to have
parents that care about my future and me
Threats-
there are a lot of threats in my life; I have a lack of transportation to and
from places because of my family working, another one is that I feel like I am
not a good enough brother to my sister and that I am not setting a good example
for her.
Scenario
Most Desired- my most desired scenario is to go to
college at the University of North Carolina.
Least Desired- my least desired is to have a lame job and
not make something of myself.
Most likely- my most likely to happen is that I go to the
NBA and take care of my mother and help my sister in college.
For me to get to the NBA and take care of my family,
I have to go to college and play for the basketball team and do well in school.
When it hits the year of 2009 I should be a freshman at the University of
North Carolina playing for the Tar Heels. The route I have to take is an
educational one, I have to get at least a 3.5 in school and I have to do well in
sports. The personal things in life
is that I have to make friends with the right people so that I will not get
caught up in drugs or get caught up in anything I am not supposed to.
Also I have to listen to the wise people in my life because they have
already been where I want to go.
