Bryana Lauren Griffin
My name is Bryana Lauren Griffin and I am the second oldest born to the Holley- Griffin family. My family has always been very interactive. Almost everywhere we go becomes a family outing. I wouldn’t say that my family is the best family because we have family problem just like anyone else. For example my sister Jasmin and I fight and argue almost everyday. I don’t like to argue with her but it turns out that way. IN recent days I barely see my brother because he is always working and always driving around in his new car just to show off. I think that the best family outing that we had was when we went to the Pocono’s. We invited my play brother Aaron to come with us. It was very cold and wet. We stayed on the ski slopes the whole day. It was so fun especially when I fell down the ski slopes. That had to the best family vacation that year. I really enjoyed myself, especially being with my family. I would consider my Grandmother Susie Johnson as my family legend because while she was living she tried her best to keep our family together the best way that she could. She was a wonderful role model for her grandchildren, especially for me because she believed in me and expected me to do my best at all times and until this day I try my best not to let her down. Present Situation My mother Lauren Holley has made a great impact in my life because she pushes me to strive for the best. She has been there to help me get all my scholarships and for that I thank her. I heard about this program from my friend Chinue. We both applied for this program together. My inspiration for applying was from my mother and also because I had nothing to do this summer. My plans were to open up a water ice stand by the name of Gemini’s because my sister and I were the owners. My expectations about this program were to take different classes and work together with my peers and meet new friends. Bryana's
SWOT SWOT
Not handling my own situations Field Trip To Penn dot Today we went to PENNDOT in Fort Washington Pennsylvania. There we met Mr. Phillip O. Cheney and Allan A. Myers. They explained to us how it would take 5 years to finish the construction on the bridge in order to make driving better for people to navigate. The Bethlehem Pike Bridge is a 93-year old bridge that is being replaced as the final stage of a $ 5.7 million project. The bridge and intersection improvement are being done in conjunction with the upcoming reconstruction of the PA 309 Expressway in Montgomery County. PENNDOT hires people to help design their project. There are also surveyors who help to design what is trying to be built. In order to build or start a project you must at least have $60 million dollars to begin the project. It can take up to $250 million dollars to complete an entire project. We then went to the construction site where they were building a part of a bridge. This bridge was created so that traffic would not become a problem when it came to the PA turnpike and PA 309. We then went to PENNDOT District 6-0 Traffic Control Center where Mr. Rock Hoffman told us how to operate their programs. They are basically there to help give traffic reports and give help to any of those who are in trouble while traveling on the road. We were shown how the Video Monitoring Network is operated and how the Expressway service patrol officers are always around and are willing to help at any time. Their workday normally begins at 4: 30 am and ends at 8:30 P.M. Mondays through Fridays. I really learned a lot about this topic but if I was asked to do it again I wouldn’t. My reason for not attending Penn Dot construction site again is because it was boring and not very interesting to me.
