Entrepreneurship Mentor Erica Bantom Martin
Erica N. Bantom Martin, a native of Philadelphia, PA, is currently a State Farm Insurance Agent, and has been the recipient of the Philadelphia Agency Field Office Agent of the Year award. Her office is located at 1124 S Broad Street in the city of Philadelphia.
Erica grew up in the Mount Airy section of the city and is a graduate of the Philadelphia High School for Girls. where she was inducted into the National Honor Society. She received a full four-year academic scholarship to West Chester University from the university and the Coca-Cola "We Mean Business" scholarship from the Philadelphia Bottling Company of Coca-Cola. While attending West Chester University she was elected into Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. Erica is also a charter member of the Rho Alpha Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. at West Chester.
Prior to becoming an agent, Erica was a Human Resource Representative for State Farm. She joined State Farm in May 1991 after graduating from West Chester University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. Erica later returned to school and in 1999, received a Master of Business Administration in Human Resources from Temple University.
Erica enjoys working in her community. She has volunteered for Junior Achievement and Big Brothers/Big Sisters Inc. Erica is currently a member of the Bright Hope Baptist Church where she has previously served as Assistant Treasurer and on the Board of Trustees. She also serves on the board of the Spruce Adolescent Counseling & Education Center. She is an active member of the Philadelphia Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
When not working, Erica enjoys working out, travelling and spending time with her daughter, Nia.
