 WHEREAS, In October 2008, Lincoln University received an anonymous letter alleging that the men’s basketball and track and field teams had competed with ineligible student-athletes; and

 
WHEREAS, In response to the allegation, Lincoln University began reviewing the eligibility of all men’s basketball and men’s track and field student-athletes from the 2004-05 through 2006-07 academic years; and

 
WHEREAS, In February 2009, prior to completion of the institution’s internal inquiry, a former men’s basketball student-athlete notified the NCAA enforcement staff that he participated while ineligible during the 2005 spring semester, in addition to other allegations.  The NCAA enforcement staff responded with a letter to Lincoln University requesting that it perform an inquiry into the allegations; and

 
WHEREAS, In July 2009, Lincoln University submitted to the NCAA a self-report of violations in the men’s basketball and track and field programs as well as the February 2009 allegations; and

 
WHEREAS, In September 2009, the NCAA conducted initial campus interviews and subsequently requested additional information from Lincoln University so the review of potentially ineligible former student-athletes could be expanded beyond the men’s basketball and men’s track and field teams; and

 
WHEREAS, Lincoln University went beyond what the NCAA requested and reviewed the eligibility of all student-athletes from the 2004-05 through the 2008-09 academic years; and

 
WHEREAS, On September 2, 2010, the NCAA Division III Committee on Infractions, in cooperation and agreement with Lincoln University, submitted their findings of violations and penalties of NCAA legislation which they adopted and imposed upon Lincoln University; and

 
WHEREAS, That one of the penalties agreed upon by Lincoln University and by the NCAA Division III Committee on Infractions was the vacation of records for the 2004-05, 2005-06, 2006-07 and 2008-09, and that Lincoln University must strike from its record certain statements concerning the basketball and track programs; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That in an effort to comply with penalties imposed and agreed upon by Lincoln University and by the NCAA Division III Committee on Infractions, Lincoln University hereby rescinds Resolution 217_091705: Recognition of the Lincoln University Track Teams; Resolution 230_040806: Recognition of the 2005-06 Lincoln University Men’s Basketball Team; Resolution 231_040806: Recognition of Lincoln University Student-Athlete Mr. Kyle Myrick; and Resolution 262_042107: Recognition of the Lincoln University Indoor Track Team.
