2009-10 PROMOTION AND TENURE                                                           RES332_063009
   
    
WHEREAS, Members of the Faculty have applied for promotion and/or tenure; and

WHEREAS, The Promotion, Tenure and Severance Committee evaluated the applications; and
 
WHEREAS, The Deans and the Vice President for Academic Affairs have reviewed the applications; and
 
WHEREAS, The President has reviewed the recommendation of the Vice President for Academic Affairs; now, therefore be it
 
RESOLVED, That
 
·         Professor Denise Gaither-Hardy (Instructor, Psychology) Promotion to Assistant Professor (PTS Rating 3.50, VPAA Rating 3.50);
·         Dr. Carol Ann George (Assistant Professor, Education) Tenure with Promotion to Associate Professor (PTS Rating 4.62, VPAA Rating 3.60);
·         Professor Tracey J. Hunter Hayes (Associate Professor, Library) Tenure (PTS Rating 3.20; VPAA Rating 4.06);
·         Dr. Yvonne Hilton (Instructor, HPER) Promotion (without tenure) to Assistant Professor (PTS Rating 3.94, VPAA Rating 3.10);
·         Dr. Chieke Ihejirika (Assistant Professor, History/Political Science) Tenure with Promotion to Associate Professor (PTS Rating 4.60, VPAA Rating 3.50);
·         Dr. Anna K. Hull (Assistant Professor, Biology) Tenure with Promotion to Associate Professor (PTS Rating 4.96, VPAA Rating 4.00);
·         Dr. Derrick J. Swinton (Associate Professor, Chemistry) Tenure (PTS Rating 4.90, VPAA Rating 4.15);
·         Dr. Susan Safford (Associate Professor, Biology) Promotion to Professor (PTS Rating 4.90, VPAA Rating 4.45).
