STUDENT ENHANCEMENT INITIATIVE: DEPARTMENT OF                              RES291_020908
INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETICS – MISSION/PHILOSOPHY
STATEMENT AND FACULTY ATLETICS REPRESENTATIVE
(FAR) PREAMBLE AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
 
   
WHEREAS, The Lincoln University Board of Trustees approved the Student
Enhancement Initiative (Division II/CIAA/Football and Marching Band) at their April 8, 2006 meeting; and
 
WHEREAS, Lincoln University has begun the NCAA Division II reclassification process and is now classified as a Division II Exploratory member; and
 
WHEREAS, Lincoln University will receive annual visits from the NCAA liaison designated to assess our progress toward meeting full Division II standards; and
 
WHEREAS, Lincoln University must complete an NCAA Institutional Self Study Guide (ISSG) attesting that it has implemented all policies, procedures and processes necessary for Division II membership; and
 
WHEREAS, As part of the ISSG process, Lincoln University’s Board of Trustees must review and approve the Mission/Philosophy Statement of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and review and approve the duties of the FAR; therefore, be it
 
RESOLVED, That the Board of Trustees approves the Mission/Philosophy Statement of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics; and further
 
RESOLVED, That the Board of Trustees approves the Faculty Athletics Representative Preamble and job duties and responsibilities.
