University Board of Trustees met via teleconference on July 10, 2007. Chairman Calvin S.
Morris called the meeting to order at 8:05 a.m.

BUSINESS
AFFAIRS COMMITTEE
Dr.
Calvin S. Morris,
Chair, offered the following resolutions for Board approval:
2007-08 OPERATING
BUDGET
RES270_071007
RESOLVED, That
the Operating Budget presented by the administration showing total
expenses
before depreciation of $54,576,035, including wage increases for
represented
and non-represented employees, is approved.
The
motion was properly moved and seconded.
Motion
carried unanimously.
2007-08 CAPITAL BUDGET
RES271_071007
RESOLVED, That
capital
expenditures of $5,565,363 are approved for fiscal year 2007-08; and be
it
further
RESOLVED, That the
administration is authorized to make capital expenditures in fiscal
year
2007-08 that in its judgment are consistent with but not identical to
the
individual projects included on the schedule presented; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That in
authorizing
these capital expenditures and providing some discretion to the
administration,
it is the intent of the Board of Trustees that the expenditures be made
to
improve the living and learning environment of the students of Lincoln University.
The
motion was properly moved and seconded.

2007-08 TUITION, FEES,
ROOM AND BOARD INCREASE

WHEREAS, The
Lincoln
University administration has adequately substantiated the necessity of
a 3.5%
2007-08 tuition, fees, room and board increase; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the
Lincoln
University 2007-08 tuition, fees, room and board increase of 3.5% is
hereby
approved.
The
motion was properly moved and seconded.

SUMMARY
OF MASTER LEASE
Mr. Howard E. Merlin,
Vice President for Fiscal Affairs provided a brief report on the 3020 Market Street
project.
THE BARNES
FOUNDATION
The
Hon. Levan Gordon moved to
ratify the action taken by the Executive
Committee on July 2, 2007, to re-nominate Mr. André V. Duggin to
serve a second
term as Trustee to The Barnes Foundation. The motion was seconded by
Robert L.
Archie, Esq.
Motion
carried unanimously.
There
being no further business, Chairman
Morris adjourned the meeting at 8:45 a.m.
