Francine Taylor is entering her fourth
year as the Lincoln University women’s soccer coach and first as the Coordinator
of Marketing & Promotions.
With Lincoln University moving from Division III to Division II, a very
large emphasis will be placed on marketing, promoting and fundraising for
the athletic program. Given the Division II strategic plan of building on
a community presence Taylor will spearhead community youth programs and academic
development within and around the surrounding communities.
One of the goals of the marketing, promoting and fundraising area is to
reach out into the community and share its goal of athletic and academic
excellence with Oxford, Jennersville and Avon Grove. This will be done
via several community outreach programs including the Lunch Bunch, Reading
Program and Student-Athletes Speakers Bureau Program.
The Lunch Bunch program is designed to bring selected middle school students
to campus to have lunch and hear motivational speeches from our student-athletes.
The Reading program inspires middle school students to read more and participation
from local libraries.
Under Taylor, the women’s soccer program has achieved several milestones
including establishing a school record for victories in a single season
(four) in 2005, her second year at the helm. The Lady Lions also established
a school record for most goals in a season (17) during the 2006 season.
Taylor has a M.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Phoenix. Taylor
also has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Marketing from Boise State University.
Born and raised in Phoenix, Taylor worked at Lincoln in the ACT 101 office
for 41/2 years as an assessment analyst. Some of Taylor’s responsibilities
included managing program budgets, student database of 450 students, uploading
the Website and planning special events.
Taylor has played soccer in various in city leagues in Arizona and Idaho
as a goalie and defender. Taylor, her husband, Craig, and three children:
Jamie, Alex and Josh, reside in Oxford, Pennsylvania.
