The Lincoln University cheerleaders are dedicated to building unity with each other and the entire Lincoln University Community by representing this historic institution with pride and distinction and supporting the Lincoln University athletic programs.

In addition to learning cheers and working hard during practice, the cheerleaders are focused on building character, self-confidence, and learning life lessons that help the individual members grow as a team and as student-athletes.

Lincoln University’s varsity cheerleading program supports the Lincoln men’s and women's basketball squads at home athletic events and selected road contests. They cheer at campus functions and pep rallies. Many of the squad members are active in other campus organizations and have sterling grade point averages. Members of the cheerleading team do not incur any out-of-pocket expenses to participate.  All uniforms and sneakers are provided.

Any full-time Lincoln University student with a cumulative GPA of 2.00 may tryout. First-semester freshmen may tryout. All squad members MUST maintain at least a 2.00
GPA and all squad members will be REQUIRED to have a physical through the Athletic Trainer.
