Winfield enters his second year of working with the Lincoln University men’s basketball program. He has a bachelor of science degree in Mass Communications from Towson State University.

Winfield worked as the freshman and sophomore coach for Towson Catholic High School during the 2004-05 season. For two years (1995-97), Winfield was a volunteer assistant coach for Towson State University. His duties included handling the film exchange program, assisting with practices and game preparation and supervising summer camps. During his time as a student at Towson, Winfield was a basketball manager.

Winfield was an assistant coach at the Oliver Recreation Center in Baltimore where he worked with boys ages 11-19 for a local league (BNBL) and a national league (AAU). He was also a basketball camp counselor for three summers at the University of Delaware. Winfield currently works as a loan officer for Bay Capitol Corporation.
