Membership Application

Types of Membership:
Membership in the Alumni Association of Lincoln University is open to every person graduating from Lincoln University or anyone who has completed at least one year of work in good standing. The classes of membership are:

REGULAR MEMBERSHIP: Regular members pay $35.00 yearly dues to the AALU in addition to the local chapter assessment. The two classes of regular members are: Financial Members: Those individuals who attended Lincoln University and who pay annual dues to the AALU directly or through a local chapter. Inactive Members: Those individuals who attended Lincoln University, but are not currently engaged in activities of the AALU nor affiliated with a local chapter.

LIFE MEMBERSHIP: This is the highest level of membership in the AALU. Each member pays $500 dues in one installment.

SUBSCRIBING LIFE MEMBERSHIP: Those individuals who are striving towards a Life Membership in the AALU. This group pays $100 a year consistently for a period of five years. Once the $500 is paid, these alumni become Life Members with all the privileges of life membership in the AALU.

HONORARY MEMBER: Those individuals whose membership is conferred by receipt of an honorary degree from the University or nominated for honorary membership by the Executive Committee and elected to honorary membership by the Council. To learn more about the Alumni Association of Lincoln University, consult your local chapter, contact the Executive Secretary of the AALU at bbenson@voicenet.com or any member of the executive committee. Recent Graduates Program (Class of 2001) Graduates of the Class of 2001 are entitled to a one-year complimentary membership into the AALU. This membership remains in effect until December 2001. Upon expiration, we ask that you pay your dues on an annual basis through a local chapter or directly to the Alumni Association (only if no chapter exists in your area). Your membership into the Alumni Association will provide you with the opportunity to meet other alumni locate throughout the world, to recruit other students, and to provide financial support to the University so that the tradition will continue. Please provide us with your address with each move or relocation to allow us to remain in contact with you. you may update your information by completing the membership form and mailing it to us.

AALU Member Benefits- A Work in Progress
Membership in the Alumni Association of Lincoln University (AALU) entitles you to:

• Voting privileges in the Alumni Association elections
• Informative updates in the v 10% discount at the LU bookstore
• Borrowing privileges for books from the Langston Hughes Memorial Library. To check out library materials, please submit an annual tax-deductible donation of $100 to Langston Hughes memorial Library
• Career Services Assistance from the Office of Counseling and Career Services v Access to campus dining facilities
• Access to Lincoln University's campus after 5:00 p.m. and on weekends. During Special event weekends (Homecoming, Commencement, etc.) a visitor's permit is required for campus access and parking from the Office of Public Safety
• 10% discount on registration fee for the Annual Alumni Golf Classic v Access to Annual Alumni Picnic
• Information updates on the University and the Alumni Association v Access to campus Recreational Facilities (including pool, gym, bowling alley)
• 50% tuition discount for children and grandchildren of alumni who attend Lincoln
