Caregiver
Workshop To be Held February 23rd, 2001
This
workshop will identify, discuss and demonstrate six ways that computers
connected to the Internet can assist caregivers. The session will
demonstrate:
- How to find
health and social service information,
- Access the
knowledge of experts,
- Find specific
service information for specific areas,
- Reduce personal
stress,
- Communicate
with friends, relatives and other significant people
- Obtain support
in real time when needed.
The
session will use large and small group discussion, on-line real
time computer demonstrations. Handouts will cover sites addressing
caregiving, aging and health as well as "how to" sheets for communicating
over the Internet and Internet searching techniques.
