Each applicant is required to submit an essay to complete
the application process. Write an essay about yourself and the events in your
life which have made a difference in the way you view yourself and others.
Freshman
Students
If you are applying for admission as a Freshman, you must
ask your High School to provide a complete official transcript to the Office of
Admissions at Lincoln University. Please also ask a teacher or someone who knows
your intellectual qualities and academic work to write a letter of recommendation.
If you withdrew from High School prior to graduation, your
transcript to the point of withdrawal should be accompanied by an official G.E.D.
test result and certificate.
Transfer
Students
Transfer students must submit an official college transcript from all institutions attended after high school in addition to an official final high school transcript and SAT or ACT scores. All transfer students must have at least a 2.0 GPA and 12 credits from their previous college or university.
International
Students
Ask the schools you have attended to submit detailed transcripts
directly to the Office of Admissions, listing all subjects taken and grades received.
You should be proficient in the use of English. All applicants from countries
where English is not the official language must submit Test of English As a Foreign
Language (TOEFL) scores. No financial aid or scholarships are available to students
entering Lincoln University from other countries. International students will
be asked to show proof that they can finance their education at Lincoln University.
When your application is complete and test scores, transcripts,
application fee, recommendations and other documents needed have been received,
the Office of Admissions will notify you that it is entering the evaluation process.
During this process, several staff members will read your application and present
their evaluations to the Committee on Admission. Please be patient; it takes many
hours of work to decide which of our many good applicants will be selected for
admission. We will mail a decision to you at the earliest possible date.
