Dr. Nelson convened the meeting 4:10 PM.
I.
REPORT FROM THE STUDENT GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION . . .
Nosakhere Griffin-El
SGA President Nosakhere Griffin-El gave a report concerning the SGA Constitution
and the procedures for electing SGA senators. Dr. Nelson said in response to a
question concerning Mr. Griffin-El's report that the administration could not
re-write the SGA constitution.
II. REPORT FROM THE PRESIDENT . . .
Dr.
Ivory Nelson Dr. Nelson reported that although the Commonwealth did cut Lincoln's
budget, he would work to improve the fiscal situation at Lincoln by working with
various constituencies in Harrisburg. Dr. Nelson also reminded the faculty that
Lincoln had to borrow money during the period in which there was no Commonwealth
budget.
Dr. Venerable asked if there were any addition to the agenda.
Dr.
Millette reminded the faculty that the administration was supposed to bring back
a report on the academic environment at Lincoln University. Dr. Siddique noted
that the January minutes were in error in that the January meeting ended at 4:30
PM, not at 5:30 PM as erroneously report in the January minutes. Dr. Venerable
and the faculty had a discussion about when the quorum should be called and Roberts
Rules of Order with regard to quorums.
III. Action Items
A.
Approval of the January 6, 2004 minutes. After some discussion, the minutes were
approved 22-21 with Dr. Venerable voting to break a tie on the approval of the
minutes.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:43 PM.
